How online coaching works in the Being Fit app: step by step

Hands setting a smartphone on a small tripod on an exercise mat

Online coaching with Being Fit runs through one place: the Being Fit app. You get a workout plan, a nutrition plan and daily check-ins with your coach, all in the app, wherever you live. Your coach reviews what you log and adjusts the plan, so it keeps fitting your body and your week.

I’m Gawhar Ahmad, licensed pharmacist and head coach at Being Fit. People often ask what actually happens after they sign up for online coaching. This guide walks through it from first message to week four.

Key takeaways

  • It starts with a WhatsApp message and an assessment.
  • Your workout plan and nutrition plan are built for you, not copied from a template.
  • Daily check-ins take a minute or two.
  • Your coach reviews progress and changes the plan as you go.
  • It works worldwide, in your own time zone.

Step 1: Get in touch

Send us a WhatsApp message on 058 572 2691 with your city, country and main goal. We reply with how online coaching works and the pricing for your situation. If it sounds right, we book your assessment.

Step 2: The assessment

Your coach asks about your health history, any injuries or medical conditions, medicines you take, past training, your current activity, sleep, stress and how you eat. We also ask about your week: work hours, travel and family time. Finally, we ask what equipment you have, from a full gym to nothing at all. If anything in your health history needs a doctor’s input before you start, we will tell you.

Step 3: Your workout plan

Your coach writes a plan for your goal, your experience and your equipment. Each session in the app lists the exercises, sets, reps, rest and notes on form. Most plans include strength training on 2 or more days a week, in line with the World Health Organization and NHS guidance on muscle-strengthening activity, plus walking or cardio to suit your goal.

Step 4: Your nutrition plan

Alongside training, you get a nutrition plan built around how you actually eat, including your culture, work lunches and family meals. It covers how much to eat, protein and meal structure, with practical examples rather than a strict meal list. Our team includes a qualified nutritionist. See online nutrition coaching for more.

Step 5: Daily check-ins

This is what makes online coaching different from downloading a plan. Each day you check in with a few quick details:

  • Did you train, and how did it go?
  • Sleep, energy and stress.
  • Steps or other activity.
  • How closely you followed your nutrition plan.
  • Any pain, soreness or questions.

Your coach reads your check-ins and replies. If you are tired, sore or short on time, the next session is adjusted. If you are progressing, the load goes up.

Step 6: Form checks

For key lifts, your coach may ask you to film a set from the side. They reply with clear cues to fix your technique. This is how we keep online training safe and effective.

Step 7: Reviews and progress

Your coach reviews your progress regularly using what matters for your goal, such as strength numbers, measurements, photos if you are comfortable sharing them, energy and how your clothes fit. The plan is then updated for the next block. You are never left repeating the same programme for months.

WhenWhat happens

Who are the coaches?

Online clients are coached by the same REPs UAE registered team that trains clients in person across Dubai. Coaching is available worldwide, so you can live in Dubai, London, Toronto or Singapore and work with the same team.

What does the app not do?

The app is the tool; the coaching comes from people. It will not diagnose an injury, replace your doctor or make decisions about medicines. If your check-ins mention pain, dizziness, chest discomfort or anything unusual, your coach will pause or change the plan and may ask you to see a doctor before continuing. We would rather lose a week of training than have you push through something that needs medical advice.

It also will not do the training for you. The best results come from people who check in honestly, including on the days that went badly. That honesty is what lets your coach make the right change.
