Long days, late calls and frequent flights are the most common reasons Dubai professionals stop training. Online coaching solves the scheduling problem rather than the motivation problem: you get a structured plan you can do anywhere, a coach who reviews your progress every day, and changes made the moment your week changes. You stop needing a fixed time slot to make progress.
I’m Gawhar Ahmad, licensed pharmacist and head coach at Being Fit. Many of the people who start our online coaching work in DIFC, Business Bay or Downtown, or split their month between Dubai and another city. Here is how we set it up so it survives a real working week.
Key takeaways
- Plan around the week you actually have, not an ideal one.
- Two or three 30 to 45 minute strength sessions a week is a solid base for most people.
- Daily check-ins in the Being Fit app keep the plan honest and adjustable.
- When a trip or a deadline hits, the plan shrinks instead of stopping.
- Online pricing is shared on WhatsApp: 058 572 2691.
Why do busy professionals fall off training?
In our experience it is rarely a lack of willpower. It is usually one of four things: no fixed slot in the diary, plans that are too long for the time available, travel that breaks the routine, and no one noticing when a week goes missing. A programme that assumes a free hour five times a week will fail the first time a board meeting runs over.
Online coaching addresses each of these directly. The plan is written for the time you have, it lives on your phone, it travels with you, and your coach sees your check-ins every day, so a missed week becomes a conversation instead of a quiet restart three months later.
How much training do you really need?
The World Health Organization recommends that adults do 150 to 300 minutes of moderate activity a week, or 75 to 150 minutes of vigorous activity, plus muscle-strengthening activity on 2 or more days. The NHS gives the same advice. For a busy professional, that can be met with two or three focused strength sessions and daily walking, which is far more realistic than chasing a perfect gym week.
| Your week | Strength sessions | Length | Daily movement |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal office week | 3 | 40 to 45 minutes | Walking calls, stairs, a short evening walk |
| Heavy deadline week | 2 | 25 to 30 minutes | Short walks between meetings |
| Travel week | 2 | 20 to 30 minutes, hotel room or hotel gym | Walk the terminal, explore on foot |
| Holiday or recovery week | 1 to 2 | Light, mobility focused | Swim, walk, play with the kids |
What does a typical online week look like?
Every client’s plan is different, but a busy professional’s week often looks like this. On Sunday you check in with your schedule for the week ahead. Your coach places the sessions where they will actually happen, such as early in the morning before the office, at lunch in the building gym or in the evening at home. Each session in the app lists the exercises, sets, reps and rest, with notes on form.
After each session you log what you did and how it felt. On days without a session you still check in: sleep, steps, energy and how well you ate. That takes a minute or two. Your coach reads it, replies and changes the following days if needed. If a flight is moved or a meeting runs late, you tell your coach and the plan is rearranged rather than abandoned.
Where can you train?
- At home, with a few dumbbells or bands, or with no equipment at all.
- In your building gym, which most towers in Downtown, Business Bay, the Marina and JLT have.
- In a hotel room or hotel gym while travelling.
- At any commercial gym, if you already have a membership.
Your coach writes the plan for the equipment you have. If you switch between home and a hotel gym, you can have two versions of the same session.
How does food fit around business lunches and dinners?
Eating out is part of the job for many professionals. Your plan includes a nutrition plan built around your real week, including client lunches and late dinners, not a diet that only works if you cook every meal. For more detail, see our online nutrition coaching page. Our team includes a qualified nutritionist, and we do not rely on supplement shortcuts.
When is in-person training a better fit?
Online coaching works best for people who can follow a written plan safely and want flexibility. If you are new to strength training, recovering from an injury, or want someone to set up every session for you, in-person training in Dubai may suit you better at the start. Many people combine both: in-person sessions in Dubai and online coaching when they travel. See our executive personal training page for that option.

Frequently asked questions
Can online coaching work with a very busy schedule?
Yes. The plan is built around the time you have, often two or three short strength sessions a week, and changes when your week changes.
Do I need a gym?
No. Plans can use your building gym, a hotel gym, home equipment or no equipment at all.
How do daily check-ins work?
You log sessions, sleep, steps, energy and food in the Being Fit app. Your coach reviews them and adjusts your plan.
Can I keep training while I travel?
Yes. The app goes with you, and your coach can switch to hotel-room or hotel-gym sessions.
