Atlantis The Royal, on the Palm Jumeirah crescent, combines an ultra-luxury hotel with The Royal Atlantis Residences. Guests and residents both ask the same thing: how to keep training properly while living or staying somewhere designed for indulgence. Being Fit brings a private personal trainer to Palm Jumeirah, including the crescent.
Hotel guest or resident: two different plans
A guest staying a week needs short, efficient sessions that offset long dinners and travel fatigue, often in the suite or outdoors near the beach early in the day. A resident needs a long-term programme with progression, nutrition support and flexibility around travel.
We plan both. For residents across the Palm, our VIP personal trainer on Palm Jumeirah page explains dedicated-coach options. Hotel access for outside trainers depends on the property’s policy, which we confirm with you before booking.
Where your sessions can happen
Your coach comes to you, so the session fits around life at Atlantis The Royal rather than the other way round. Most clients use one or two of these settings across a week:
- In your residence. A clear space the size of a mat is enough for effective strength, conditioning and mobility work. Your coach plans around the equipment you already own and brings portable kit where it helps, choosing quieter movements if neighbours or family are close by.
- In the building gym. Many residents at Atlantis The Royal prefer the residents’ gym for heavier lifting. Rules for outside trainers differ between buildings and management companies; if approval is needed, we help you with the paperwork. Our building gym personal trainer guide explains how it usually works.
- In your suite or the hotel gym. For guests, a coach can meet you in your room or suite, or in the hotel gym where the hotel allows visiting trainers. Each hotel sets its own policy, so we confirm access with you before the first session. See hotel guest workouts in Dubai for short-stay plans.
- Outdoors, in the cooler months. From roughly November to March, early mornings and evenings suit walks, intervals and mobility near the water or in quieter green spaces.
- Online, when you travel. If you split your year between Dubai and abroad, sessions and check-ins continue through the Being Fit app with our online coaching, so the plan does not stop at the airport.
Who trains with us at Atlantis The Royal
Clients here include residence owners, families on extended stays, executives combining business and leisure, and visitors who want a few sessions to stay on track. Many travel often and continue with app-based coaching between visits.
What you can train for
Every programme starts with a conversation about your week, your history and what you want to change. Common goals for clients in Atlantis The Royal include:
- Strength and body composition – structured, progressive training that fits a busy diary, with a nutritionist on the team for eating that matches your schedule, travel and dining out.
- Combat sports – one-to-one boxing, kickboxing and Muay Thai, including sessions with Zhanebek, a three-time Muay Thai world champion, or kickboxing and self-defence with Shima.
- Women’s training – female coaches on request, prenatal and postpartum training, and menopause coaching.
- Healthy ageing – sessions for clients aged 60+ with their doctor’s clearance, focused on strength, balance and confidence.
- Recovery – massage, yoga and Pilates at home, booked alongside training or on their own.
- Family – kids’ and teens’ boxing and kickboxing, and couples or family sessions.
What a typical first week looks like
Your first session at Atlantis The Royal is a relaxed assessment: a conversation about health history, injuries, sleep, work and travel, then simple movement checks so your coach can see how you squat, hinge, push, pull and balance. Nothing is rushed, and anything that needs a doctor’s input is flagged before training moves on.
From there, most clients start with two or three sessions a week of around an hour. Each one mixes strength, conditioning and mobility, with the balance shifting towards your goal. Between sessions you get simple guidance on steps, hydration in Dubai’s heat, and eating around restaurant dinners and events, so progress continues on the days your coach is not with you. Every few weeks you review progress together and adjust the plan.
Discretion comes first
Many residents and guests at Atlantis The Royal value privacy as much as results. Your coach arrives on time, works quietly, respects household staff, security and building rules, and does not share client names. If you prefer a female coach, a set time each day, or a coach who also travels with your family’s routine, tell us at the start and we plan around it. For clients who want the most flexibility, our VIP personal training adds priority scheduling and a dedicated coach.
