Arabian Ranches is built for home training. Most villas have a spare room, a garage or a garden that can become a training space, there are community gyms, and the quieter internal roads suit walks and runs in the cooler months. A coach who comes to you removes the commute and lets the whole family train around school runs and work.
I’m Gawhar Ahmad, licensed pharmacist and head coach at Being Fit. Our personal training service brings a coach to your villa or community gym in Arabian Ranches and across Dubai. Here is how it works, what you need at home and how families usually set it up.
Key takeaways
- Your coach brings the equipment you need to start.
- Train in the villa, garden, garage or community gym.
- Different family members can have their own sessions.
- Outdoor training moves indoors and earlier in the hot months.
- Every package includes a customised nutrition plan.
Where can you train in an Arabian Ranches villa?
- A spare room or majlis with space for a mat, dumbbells and a bench.
- The garage, which many families turn into a simple home gym.
- The garden, for boxing pads, mobility and conditioning in the cooler months.
- Your community gym, where visiting trainers are permitted.
Our home gym setup guide covers what is worth buying and what is not.
What do you need to start?
Very little. Your coach brings the equipment for early sessions, such as resistance bands, dumbbells, a mat and boxing pads. As your plan develops, your coach can suggest a few pieces worth owning so you can do short workouts between sessions.
How does it work for families?
Many Ranches households book training for more than one person. A typical setup:
| Who | What | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Parent 1 | Strength and fat loss, 3 to 4 sessions a week | Early sessions before work |
| Parent 2 | Strength, Pilates or postnatal training | Female coaches available |
| Teenagers | Kickboxing or boxing | Fitness, focus and confidence |
| Grandparents | Strength and balance | With doctor’s clearance |
We also offer prenatal and postpartum training with a qualified coach, kids and teens kickboxing, and seniors fitness for clients over 60 with their doctor’s clearance. Our family fitness guide has ideas for training together.
How do you train outdoors in the heat?
Outdoors in the cooler months, indoors and earlier in the summer. From November to March, a villa garden or community path is at its best early in the morning or after sunset. From late spring to early autumn, keep hard sessions indoors. The NHS lists heavy sweating, dizziness, headache, nausea and cramps among the signs of heat exhaustion: stop, move somewhere cool and drink water. Our heat and hydration guide has more, written from a pharmacist’s point of view.
How much training is enough?
The World Health Organization guidelines recommend 150 to 300 minutes of moderate activity a week plus muscle-strengthening on two or more days. Three coached sessions plus daily walking covers most of that for adults.
Does it start with an assessment?
Yes. Your free trial and assessment covers goals, health history, posture, movement and body composition, with blood tests available. Our head coach is a licensed pharmacist, so conditions and regular medicines are considered before training starts.
What else can be added at home?
Yoga, Pilates, rehab and mobility, and massage at home in Arabian Ranches can be added to the same plan. Every package includes a customised nutrition plan from a team that includes a qualified nutritionist. For the area itself, see our Arabian Ranches home personal trainer page and female personal trainer page.
What does the first month look like?
- Week 1: free trial and assessment, then your plan and nutrition targets.
- Weeks 1 to 2: learning the main movements with light loads, and finding the best training spot in the villa.
- Weeks 3 to 4: loads and session length build up; your coach suggests any equipment worth buying.
- End of month 1: a progress check on body composition, strength and how you feel, and the plan is adjusted.
Consistency beats intensity in the first month. Three sessions every week for four weeks will do more than two hard weeks followed by a break.
