In Emirates Hills, home training usually means your coach comes to your villa and uses whatever space you have: a dedicated home gym, a spare room, the garden or the pool deck in the cooler months. There is no commute, no waiting for equipment and no audience. Sessions run on your schedule, and the plan is built around your household and your goals.
I’m Gawhar Ahmad, licensed pharmacist and head coach at Being Fit. Personal training at home is how most of our villa clients train, and Emirates Hills is one of the communities where privacy and convenience matter most. Here is how it works, what to set up and what a typical week looks like.
Key takeaways
- Your coach trains you in your villa gym, a spare room, the garden or online.
- A well-used home gym needs fewer machines than most people think.
- Garden and poolside sessions suit the cooler months, early or after sunset.
- Female coaches are available, and massage at home can be added for recovery.
- Your first session is a free trial and medical-based assessment at your home.
How does a home session in an Emirates Hills villa work?
Your coach arrives at the agreed time, sets up, trains you for the session and leaves the space as they found it. A typical hour includes a warm-up, the main strength or conditioning block, and mobility to finish. Tell us anything about access, staff or household routines when you book and we plan around it.
Do you need a fully equipped home gym?
No. A coach works with what you have. Many villas already have a well-equipped room, and your coach will use all of it: racks, cables, a bench and dumbbells. If you are starting from scratch, a few pieces cover most needs:
- Adjustable dumbbells or a small dumbbell set
- A sturdy adjustable bench
- Resistance bands and a mat
- A kettlebell or two
- Optional later: a squat rack, a cable machine or a rower
Train for a month before buying more, so you invest in what you actually use. Our guide to setting up a home gym in a Dubai villa or apartment goes into detail.
Can you train in the garden or by the pool?
Yes, at the right time of year. Garden lawns suit conditioning, boxing pads, sled-style pushes with bands and mobility work. Shaded pool decks work for core and mobility sessions. From November to March, an Emirates Hills garden is at its best early in the morning or after sunset. From late spring to early autumn, keep hard sessions indoors. The NHS lists heavy sweating, dizziness, headache, nausea and cramps among the signs of heat exhaustion: stop, move somewhere cool and drink water. Our heat and hydration guide has more, written from a pharmacist’s point of view.
What does a typical week look like?
| Day | Session | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Sunday | Coached strength, full body | Home gym |
| Monday | Walk or easy swim, 30–45 minutes | Community paths or pool |
| Tuesday | Boxing pads and conditioning | Garden (cooler months) or home gym |
| Wednesday | Pilates or mobility | Living space or terrace |
| Thursday | Coached strength, full body | Home gym |
| Weekend | Family activity, active rest | Your choice |
That week meets the World Health Organization guidelines: 150 to 300 minutes of moderate activity plus muscle-strengthening on two or more days.
Can the whole household train?
Yes. Partners and family members can have their own sessions, or train together where goals line up, and couples, friends and family packages are available. Female coaches are available for women-only training, which you can read about on our female personal trainer page for Emirates Hills.
What else can you book at home?
- Massage at home in 60-minute sessions, for recovery between training days.
- Pilates at home and yoga at home for posture, core and flexibility.
- Boxing and kickboxing for fitness and stress relief.
- A customised nutrition plan, included with every package.
How does the first session work?
Your first session is a free trial and assessment at your villa: goals, health history, posture, movement and body composition, with blood tests available. Because our head coach is a licensed pharmacist, regular medicines and conditions such as high blood pressure are considered before a programme is written. Our guide to how home personal training works covers the basics too.
Which package fits villa training?
Packages are the same across Dubai: Essential (3 sessions a week), Signature (4 a week), Premium (up to 5 a week, at your home or building gym, with priority scheduling) and VIP (5 to 6 elite sessions a week), each with a customised nutrition plan. For clients who want everything handled, the VIP package adds a dedicated personal trainer, complete nutrition control, 24/7 WhatsApp access and a travel-with-you option. Pricing for every package is on our packages page, or WhatsApp for pricing on 058 572 2691. Neighbouring Emirates Living (The Springs, Meadows and Lakes) is covered too.
